Die Cuts

How many of us have die cuts sitting around gathering dust. I will put up my hand and say that I have waaaaay too many. Which is lucky for me because the month the challenge at Scrap It with Attitude is all about using them.

While going through my stash I came across my favourite packet of Kaisercraft Collectables (which have not been used), Pickled Pear. Now I love this range which is why it was untouched because I didn't want to use it because it is a deleted range. But use it I did. I create a card that I am extremely happy with.

2013

Happy New Year,

I hope that 2014 is all that you want it to be.

2013 was a year that many things happened. My baby girl started primary school, this was not easy and I know it is not easy for any mother. My baby girl was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 2 and 1/2 so sending her off the primary school to be  cared for by someone else 5 days a week was rather stressful. The great thing about it was that the school I sent her to were amazing and rose to the challenge. She had a wonderful time and cannot wait for next year. I met new friends and caught up with old ones. Creatively I have grown and I hope to continue as it brings me great joy and allows me to lose myself.

Why am I telling you all this you wonder, well January's challenge for Scrap It With Attitude is "2013 in a Nut Shell" design a card, layout or mixed media project that best describes 2013 for you. As soon as I read what it was going to be an idea formed in my head. I am really excited to show you.

I hope that you will be able to join us for the challenge and I look forward to seeing what you create.

Scrap That Imperfect Photo

Part of someones head is cut off, they are not looking at the camera, the photo is blurry or someone is partially covered this is the photo that you need to use if you want to join in the challenge at Scrap It With Attitude.

I had this idea in my head that I need to get out as I knew which photo I was going to use for the challenge. I love the final result.

I have added a close up of the flower cluster as I wanted to show you want you can do with Vellum and Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pens. I was not sure if I could colour the vellum but I gave it a go and this is the result and I love it.

Inner Child

When we were kids we loved to colour, but as we got older that favourite past time was push away. Well I went back to my inner child and learnt how to colour in a more adult way.

Scrap It With Attitude is a facebook group, that I belong to and every month they have a couple of challenges. One is a sketch challenge and the other is a Design Team inspired challenge. The Design Team inspired challenge for the month of October is "Use Your Stamps"

I used a Whismy Stamp from the The Kenny K Collection - Craft Star and to colour her in I used my new Spectrum Noir Alcohol Ink Pens.
